It's time to catch the wind ...
When birds soar, they glide on a current of wind, exchanging their strength to fly for that of the wind. Such dynamic relationship creates restful flight — transcendent soaring. In our lives, this exchange enables us to soar above life’s often difficult circumstances.
Similarly, the art of dance is a powerful tool for experiencing God’s presence, where we “soar” above, transcending everyday realities that often hinder our flight. But in Christ, “For freedom we have been set free,” and we dance in this freedom.
Dance pictures the fullness of life, as well as the fullness of time, when all will be restored in Jesus. When the bride of Christ rules alongside Him, united with Jesus in wholeness. Yet, even from such a big picture of things to come, we can experience abundant life now – by grace, through faith. Resting in God’s finished work, we catch the currents of his Spirit to soar – FREE!
The heart of this grand ability to soar? Relationship. Like the relationship between the bird and the wind’s current, when we are united with Jesus, His Spirit carries us. And through genuine relationships with each other, we learn what it means to be accepted and celebrated in community. We never journey this life alone.
We are invited in and embraced by the Trinity’s dance. We dance together in the fullness of God's life!
